A house with a rich history of keeping it between family and friends that needed some updating, became a worthy challenge for a couple downsizing. They worked diligently on keeping the spirit of the mid century modern home whilst bringing their own roots and attention to fine details to the project
It was a great pleasure to assist with the garden space and courtyard. The water side was designed to complement not take away from the view, with details like a Valdez sandstone fire feature that was echoed from the courtyard water feature, a fold down bench to keep the view clear when not in use. A modern porcelain patio with cable railing was graced by a commissioned mosaic waterway. Belgian architectural pottery were grout in as well as stone seats hand crafted from clay. The master bedroom courtyard was designed to give privacy and serenity with a water feature and amalanchier plantings. Hardwood horizontal fencing was used to give a contemporary backdrop to the properties footprint.
